Mandela Month Comes to a Close – Restoring Dignity Through Sustainable Local Initiative
As part of our Mandela Month initiative, Safripol SSB proudly partnered with Victorious Girls’ Foundation (VGF), under a proposal put forth by Joyce Mathe, to restore dignity and inspire hope at Nkgopoleng Secondary School on 30 July 2026.
With the support of dedicated Safripol volunteers, 1,507 customised hygiene packs were meticulously packed, quality-checked, and distributed to learners. The packs included essential hygiene items to cater for male and female needs, with female learners receiving locally manufactured reusable sanitary towels supplied through our partnership with VGF amongst other items.
Our very own Mr John Letsie, a proud product of Nkgopoleng SS, shared inspiring memories of his time at the school with the learners. He delivered a powerful message on the importance of men standing up for the dignity and well-being of their female counterparts, regardless of the circumstances. He also encouraged learners to remain committed to their education, reminding them that while education may not completely eradicate poverty, it certainly creates opportunities and makes life significantly easier. Adding to the inspiration, VGF Managing Director, Mrs Victorious Masoha, challenged learners to believe in themselves, trust in God, and dream beyond their circumstances. Her powerful message reminded them that the sky is not the limit, but only the beginning, and that they have the potential to bring meaningful change to Metsimaholo and beyond through innovation and determination.
The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the RCL Chairperson, a brilliant young lady, who eloquently expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the importance of encouragement, mentorship, and opportunities for young people.
This initiative exemplified the true spirit of Mandela Month: people coming together to create meaningful change in the lives of others. Safripol extends its sincere gratitude to all employees, volunteers, partners, and supporters who contributed to the success of this project.
Together, we restored dignity, inspired hope, nurtured aspirations, and invested in the future of our youth.
