MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, analyse, and record crime trend in the area including potential events that might affect Safripol business.
  • Proactively identifying and analysing risks, threats and recommend counter measures to prevent events.
  • Liasing with the SAPS on a regular basis or continued support.
  • Develop a working relationship with all key stakeholders within the SAPS environment (sector members, sector commanders, CPF, station commander and community leaders).

  • Managing the Security and VIP Protection Service Providers.

MINIMUM CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

Advantageous Experience:
  • PSIRA Registered and Law enforcement background.
  • Firearm Licence will be advantageous.
  • ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 knowledgeable.
  • Organisational skills, teamwork, technical capability, computer skills, safety, and environmentally conscious and coaching capabilities.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop Equipment Strategies in support of the Maintenance Strategy.
  • Documents the improvement opportunity list. Establishes value for the reliability opportunities, utilizing facility asset utilization and maintenance costs data. (TOP10).
  • Evaluates effectiveness of the predictive, preventative maintenance (PPM) program by showing quantitatively the impact of failures and PPM.
  • Measure effectiveness of corrective actions implemented coming from (Root cause investigation) RCI, (Process Excellence- Six Sigma) PEX or Safripol Improvement Process initiatives.
  • Provide mechanical engineering support to related disciplines (Maintenance, operations, projects, and technology group).
  • Evaluates and quantifies the impact projects such as equipment reconfigurations, design changes, equipment quality, operating discipline, PPM strategies.
  • Develop and maintain equipment criticality index for site assets, using reliability engineering principles and tools to improve Asset Conservation and AMR resulting in long term cost savings.
  • Participate in new plant projects at all review steps to ensure that the new plant is designed to meet the reliability and plant availability objectives of the business. (Determine critical spares; establish relevant PPM programs and interval frequencies).
  • Provides mechanical engineering input to HAZOP; Loss prevention principles (LPP) Asset Risk Assessments and risk-based inspection (RBI) studies.
  • Provides equipment reliability and performance data to the technical resources, networks with original equipment manufacturer (OEM’s)/ benchmarks for evaluation of equipment performance and best practices.
  • Facilitates the site’s Most Effective Technology (MET) and best value practices (BVP) programs and being the Focal Point for the reliability discipline.
  • Develop and drive the equipment condition monitoring (ECM ) (Vibration, Thermography, Tribology) strategy for the site.
  • Participates in the facilitation of the RCI process where reliability opportunities are identified and where the RCI triggers for reliability are met.
  • Validates RCI solutions/ corrective actions and assesses their effectiveness for preventing recurrence.
  • Participates in Site Assessments and efforts to implement corrective action, which maintain or improve plant condition.
  • Provides equipment reliability and performance data to the technical resource networks for evaluation of equipment performance.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in site mechanical equipment failures and repair techniques and provides assistance to Maintenance Engineers.
  • Analyze records, troubleshoots equipment problems, and makes recommendations to operations and maintenance.
  • Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
  • Follows through with the appropriate parties to ensure effective hand-off and provides reliability input to the process. (Fix the obvious, SIP, Pex; OTS; Semi Cap).
  • If the business requires, the reliability engineer will act as a project manager for selected projects.
