Safripol and the StartWell Foundation partnered to uplift 1,100 children in Zamdela’s ECD centres by donating toys, books, and stationery — promoting early learning, creativity, and emotional development.
Building Brighter Futures through Toys, Learning, and Love
In April, Safripol partnered with the StartWell Foundation to deliver smiles, support, and spark learning across Zamdela’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres through the “Share a Gift, Share a Smile” Toy Campaign.
StartWell has long supported these communities by providing monthly cereal donations to 17 crèches, tackling childhood hunger and stunting. Safripol proudly extended this impact by donating over 1,100 toy packs filled with educational tools, storybooks, crayons, puzzles, and plush toys.
This collaboration united nutrition and cognitive development, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Why Play Matters
Crayons. Picture books. Teddy bears.
To an adult, these may seem simple. But for a growing mind, they’re the building blocks of:
- Cognitive development
- Emotional expression
- Language and social skills
- Imagination and curiosity
For many of the children, this may have been their first personal toy or book — a powerful moment that nurtures joy, confidence, and curiosity.
Shared Values, Lasting Change
This initiative reflects a shared mission between Safripol and the StartWell Foundation:
StartWell continues to combat stunting by providing nutritious cereal to local ECD centres.
Safripol stepped in to promote developmental play — recognising that joy, learning, and nourishment must go hand in hand.
Together, we created not only memories, but the foundations for future growth.
Safeguarding Children’s Dignity
Our photo gallery captures the joy and vibrancy of the handovers — but you’ll notice one important detail:
👉 All children’s faces are blurred.
This is more than a compliance measure with POPIA and data protection regulations — it is a principled commitment to:
- Respect the dignity and consent of every child.
- Shift the focus from individual identity to collective impact.
- Champion ethical, responsible storytelling.
