Polypropylene (PP)
Our products are supplied to the converters, who in turn manufacture packaging products and structural material for a wide range of industries such as packaging and construction, among others. PP is a lightweight, moderately high melting point plastic with high stiffness, hardness and strength. It is produced from propylene monomer as a homopolymer or as a copolymer with ethylene.
PP is used in the manufacture of injection-moulded articles, blow-moulded containers, pipe, sheet and textile fibres. It is often used for outdoor applications but is UV resistant only if appropriately stabilised. PP has a good resistance to fatigue and can, therefore, be used as a living hinge such as those found on flip-top bottles. Safripol produces a variety of PP grades as impact copolymers, random copolymers and homopolymers for injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, thermoforming and fibres.
Random Co-polymer

Advance 150® PLUS Polypropylene Resin is a clarified random copolymer designed for the extrusion- and injection blow moulding of high gloss bottles. Formulated with a new generation clarifying agent, Containers produced from ADVANCE 150® PLUS exhibit high gloss and excellent clarity.
Random Co-polymer
MFR (230°C/ 2.16 kg): 40 g/10min
Advance 400® Polypropylene Resin is a random co-polymer developed for thin-wall injection moulding applications. It is a controlled rheology grade characterized by excellent optical properties, improved yellowness index and a good balance of stiffness and impact strength at ambient temperatures.
Advance 400® Polypropylene Resin contains an antistatic additive.
Impact Copolymer
MFR (230°C/2.16 kg): 1.4 g/10min
Safron® C142-01N Polypropylene Resin is a nucleated high impact copolymer specially suited for the twin walled sheet market where its good compressive strength, combined with flexibility for easy stamping out of complex shapes, renders it useful for a wide application area. It is also suitable for profile extrusion.
Safron® C142-01N Polypropylene Resin can also be used for the injection moulding of technical parts and thick wall applications requiring exceptional toughness especially at low temperatures.
Impact Copolymer
MFR (230°C/ 2.16 kg): 7.5 g/10min
Safron® C722-07NA Polypropylene Resin is a nucleated impact copolymer with high impact strength, good flow and a narrow molecular weight distribution used for general purpose complex injection moulding applications where toughness is required. The narrow MWD leads to a high dimensional stability in complicated articles.
Safron® C722-07NA Polypropylene Resin contains an antistatic additive.
Safron® C740 25RNA
Impact Copolymer
MFR (230•C/2.16 kg): 25 g/10min
Safron® C740-25RNA Polypropylene Resin is a nucleated impact copolymer suitable for thin walled containers requiring impact performance. It is characterized by high impact properties and is produced using controlled rheology allowing for a narrow MWD (molecular weight distribution). This imparts dimensional stability to mouldings.
Safron® C740-25RNA Polypropylene Resin contains an antistatic additive.
Impact Copolymer
MFR (230°C/2.16 kg): 15 g/10min
Safron® C765-15NA Polypropylene Resin is a high performance impact copolymer developed for injection moulding applications. It has an improved balance of mechanical properties featuring outstanding stiffness and high impact strength which is maintained even at low temperatures.
Safron® C765-15NA Polypropylene Resin offers an improvement in stiffness over conventional impact copolymers with comparable flow and toughness. It also contains an antistatic additive.
Natural Polypropylene Impact Copolymer
MFR (230°C/2.16 kg): 90g/10min
Safron® C790-90RNA Polypropylene Resin is a high performance impact copolymer with a very high melt flow rate. Safron• C790-90RNA is designed for the thin wall injection moulding, especially multiple cavity moulds with long flow paths and allows for easy processing, short cycle times and good dimensional stability.
Safron® C790-90RNA Polypropylene Resin contains an antistatic additive.
Homopolymer
MFR (230°C/2.16 kg): 2.0 g/10min
Safron® H106-02NSA Polypropylene Resin is a grade designed specifically for carbonated closure applications. The material is highly nucleated offering fast cycle times and also contains slip and antistatic additives. It exhibits a combination of high stiffness and toughness properties, as well as outstanding processing characteristics.
Safron® H106-02NSA Polypropylene Resin may also be used for selected injection moulding applications other than closures.
Homopolymer
MFR (230°C/2.16 kg): 12 g/10min
Safron® H504-12M Polypropylene Resin is recommended for the spinning of staple fibre in the range 2 • 25 denier. It is also used for the manufacture of BCF yarns.
Safron® H504-12M Polypropylene Resin is a medium to high flow injection moulding grade for applications where rigidity and fast cycle times are essential.
