The South African Plastics Industry comprises well over 1000 converters both large and small. Approximately half of these companies convert either HDPE and/or PP and as such are either a direct or indirect customer of Safripol..

Small customers, make up the vast majority of converters, typically requiring small volumes, mixed grades, deliveries at short notice and generally a high level of service.  Such customers are served through Plastomark, our sole distributor in South Africa.  Plastomark operate an extensive sales and distribution network with offices and warehouses through the country.

Our large customers normally purchase large volumes, and are supplied and serviced by Safripol directly.  All deliveries country wide, are distributed from our manufacturing site in Sasolburg.

With this sort of diversity the market contains elements typical of developing countries as well as at the same time many converters who’s manufacturing units can be compared with state-of-the-art plants elsewhere in the world.

These different market needs are catered for by Safripol supplying a comprehensive range of different grades of both HDPE and PP.  In total some 30 different grades are supplied and with such a comprehensives range, more than 95% of the markets needs can be met.

Safripol also supplies customers in Southern Africa through a variety of exclusive distribution channels in the various countries, however, South Africa remains Safripol’s primary focus.
